Shop Lifter Sentenced!

On the afternoon of Monday the 16th of March 2026 Alfreton SNT deployed to reports of a possible shoplifter in the South Normanton area. On arrival a female matching description made off from officers and was located shortly after hiding. With the help of Amber Valley LPU, the female was detained for a search and after suspected stolen property was found close by she was arrested for shop theft and drugs offences. The female was found to have stolen from two local shops in the area and was remanded for court. 

Samantha Sullivan, 44, currently NFA pleaded guilty at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court on 17/03/2026 where she was committed to prison for 12 weeks and suspended for 12 months.
